Jeff Hakim - B.Bus (Mktg) UTS
Jeff has been actively involved in the Travel Industry for the past 25 years as Managing Director/Entrepeneur of several travel companies incorporating most facets of travel including retail, corporate, wholesale, inbound and GSA.
Jeff first commenced with HIS Travel under his company called New World Travel International Pty Ltd doing Inbound tours from Japan for them as well as retail and corporate travel for Japanese expats.
HIS is the 2nd largest travel company in Japan and is somewhat akin to Flight Centres here in Australia. Jeff subsequently opened offices in Melbourne and Auckland. Jeff sold the business of HIS Travel to the head office in May 2010 to concentrate on new exciting projects.
In the early 90's Jeff branched out into inbound tours from the former Soviet Union under the name Flairview Travel and was instrumental in setting up Travel Services International which represented the likes of Intercontinental Hotels, Carnival Cruises and Contiki Holidays in Russia.
Jeff was one of the founders of Accomodation Line which morphed into HotelClub, the web based hotel portal site.
Jeff was the founder of Travel Managers in Australia and its CEO up until the business was sold to House Travel (NZ) Ltd in December 2007.
He continues to this day as the CEO of New World Travel.
